What are the benefits of eating mangoes and why you should start incorporating it into your diet. Bone health Mangoes have a large amount of Vitamin K. Consuming moderate amounts of vitamin K is important for improving calcium absorption, which is essential for optimal bone health. People who have low intakes of vitamin K are associated with having a higher risk of bone fracture. 2. Skin and Hair Mangoes also contain vitamin A which is great for your skin and hair. Vitamin A is a nutrient that is required for sebum production that keeps hair moisturized. Vitamin A is also necessary for the growth of all bodily tissues including skin 3. Asthma prevention Beta-carotene which found in mangoes and many other fruits and veggies such as papaya and broccoli help lower the risk of developing asthma. People who consume high amounts of this nutrients lower risk of asthma. 4. Cancer Beta-carotene may also play a protective role against many forms of cancer. Studies have tested mango polyphenol extracts and were shown to be the most effective with colon and breast cancers. 5. Digestion Mangoes help to prevent constipation and a healthy digestive tract because of their fiber and water content.
